Even though the Saturday edition of AEW Collision is yet to air, a match for tag team titles on the following Saturday has been signed.
In a Bunkhouse Brawl, the Ring of Honor Tag Team Champion Sammy Guevara and Dusty Rhodes will defend their title against former champions Matt Taven and Mike Bennett of The Undisputed kingdom.
The challenge was issued at Friday’s Rampage, when Taven Bennett verbally scolded the champions behind-the-scenes and called them out for a Fight Without Honor. The situation heated up when Rhodes raised the stakes in one of his family’s signature match instead.
Rhodes and Guevara held the titles just under a week after they defeated Bennett and Taven in a mid-August episode of Collision. Bennett and Taven would be able to claim their fourth title if they win.
Rhodes holds the ROH Six-Man Tag Team title with Marshall & Ross Von Erich.
The first match announced for Saturday’s show at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts is this match.
