Bryan Danielson was impressed by Will Ospreay before he faced him in the ring.
Danielson and Ospreay had their first ever dream match in April at AEW. The match lived up to the hype that preceded it and was widely regarded by many as an instant classic. Ospreay won a match between two of the greatest in-ring competitors in this era.
Danielson praised Ospreay in an interview with TalkSport.
“You see, Will Ospreay’s a great actor, right?” You can see it when you are watching him. Danielson said, “And then you wrestle with him and he is more incredible than you thought.” “When I wrestled him, I was like ‘Oh my god, how is that possible?’ I did not know he would be so good at interviews. He’s good at all aspects of wrestling.”
Ospreay lost the AEW World Championship when he faced Swerve Sterickland at Forbidden door in June. Danielson will challenge Strickland to the title on Sunday, 25 August at All In. If Danielson does not win, he will be retiring from in-ring competition.
