Bryan Danielson, in an interview with Gorilla position, briefly discussed his feelings towards Vince McMahon after Janel Grant’s suit.
Danielson has shown his admiration and love for McMahon before. He wrote in a Players’ Tribune article from 2021 that he wished more people could see McMahon the way he does. Danielson has found it difficult to digest the information that has been released since then. However, he believes that what matters most is the feeling of those who were allegedly victimized by McMahon.
“First and foremost I want to say people who have suffered are in a much worse position than me. Danielson said, “My empathy goes to them.”
Grant’s lawsuit accuses McMahon sex abuse, sex assault, and physical and emotional abuse. John Laurinaitis and WWE are also named defendants. McMahon left WWE in January, while Laurinaitis lost his job at the company 2022.
Laurinaitis, Danielson’s father in law, is not with Kathy Colace anymore (the mother to Brie Garcia), as Danielson indicated to Gorilla position.
Danielson said, “But, yes, there’s really not much I can say about it. It’s not only Vince, but also my father-in law, or ex-father in law, as far as this kind of thing is concerned.” “It is just that you think about someone in a certain way and then something happens, and it changes.” Danielson said. It’s hard to see someone you care about change. “But as hard as it may be for me, emotionally, this emotional thing is way worse for those who have been victims of people in power.”
Danielson refused to speak on behalf of Brie or Nikki Garcia.
Danielson said, “If they want talk about it, then they can talk about,” “This should be the core principle of everyone: If someone is willing to share their feelings about something really difficult, it is not your place to share them with others. If they want to discuss it, then they can. “That’s not my jam.”
