Both men and women won their qualifying matches in Sunday’s Forbidden Doors to reach the semi-finals of the Owen Hart Foundation tournaments for men and women, respectively. May was the first one to advance in the Forbidden Doors Zero Hour pre-show, after she pinned Saraya. Bryan Danielson defeated NJPW’s Shingo Taagi on the main card by submitting him to an armbar.
May will now face Hikaru in the semifinals. The winner of this match will face the winner of Willow Nightingale vs Kris Statlander in finals.
In the men’s tourney, Danielson will face PAC immediately at AEW Dynamite beach break on July 3. Jay White will face the winner between Jeff Jarrett vs. a “wildcard” of The Elite.
The winners of the two tournaments will be determined on the 10th of July at Dynamite, which takes place in Calgary, Alberta Canada. The tournament winners will receive world championship matches at All In on 25 August.
