Bryan Danielson declares his participation in the AEW Owen Har Foundation tournament in todays Wrestling news
Bryan Danielson has entered the AEW Owen Har Foundation men’s tournament.
In a backstage promotional video on Wednesday’s Dynamite show, Danielson announced that he would be entering the 2024 Owen Hart tournament. He noted that this was his last year as a professional wrestler, and that if he won the tournament, it could be his only chance to win the AEW World Championship.
AEW’s Tony Khan, and the widow of Owen Hart, Dr. Martha Hart, announced the upcoming tournament during last month’s Double Or Nothing pay-per view. The added twist is that the tournament winners this year will receive World Title shots at All In on Sunday, August 25, at Wembley Stadium.
The finals of the men’s and woman’s tournaments will take place in Calgary, Alberta Canada on Wednesday, 10 July.
AEW is yet to announce a date for the tournaments this year or any other participants.
On Wednesday’s Dynamite, Danielson and his Blackpool Combat Club team-mates Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli won an eight-man tag-team action.
