Brutus Creed faces his Bloodsport opponent.
Josh Barnett confirmed Friday that Tom Lawlor, our very own WWE star, will be taking on the WWE star on July 28th in Brooklyn. Barnett’s post announcing this match compared Lawlor’s UFC experience with Creed’s college wrestling.
Brutus is a juggernaut, and as he gains speed, he becomes even harder to stop. A fierce collegiate wrestling champion who prefers to use the earth as opposed to his fists.
Tom Lawlor, a UFC vet, is an MMA fighter who has 20 fights on his record. He was the longest-reigning NJPW Strong champion. Tom Lawlor is a UFC veteran, an MMA fighter with 20 fights to his record, and was the longest reigning NJPW Strong Champion.
On paper, Creed is a tough opponent, but on July 28th the theory will meet the reality, and only one hand can be raised.
The Creed Brothers were announced in advance for the event. Matt Matrowski will be Julius Creed’s opponent. Matt Matrowski fought in Bellator prior to becoming a professional wrestler.
Shayna Basszler will face Miyu Yamashita and Charlie Dempsey has not been announced as an opponent.
