Brooks Jensen, WWE NXT’s Brooks Jensen, apologizes for wearing Ole Anderson shirt in todays Wrestling news
Anderson’s use of racial epithets is documented.
Brooks Jensen, a WWE NXT wrestler, has apologized for wearing an Ole Anderson t-shirt on NXT TV. He did this after learning about Anderson’s racist history.
In a post on social media, a fan asked Jensen to explain why he thought it was appropriate for him to wear a shirt in support of Anderson. Anderson, who died last month, was known to have used racial epithets against Black wrestlers. This includes Thunderbolt Patterson and Tony Atlas.
Jensen wore an Anderson shirt when he faced North American Champion Oba Feni on the WWE NXT March 12 edition.
The fan wrote:
So @BrooksJensenWWEwhy would you think it appropriate to wear a shirt of a racist in 2024?
Jensen replied, noting that Anderson’s past was unknown to him.
Thanks guys for a great day of learning, living, and loving.
I will never support racism, hate or bullying. After wearing the t-shirt, I learned that Ole was linked to these allegations. I’ve noticed that my “looks” as well as where I come from are often stigmatized by the underbelly (i.e. racists) of our society, but this mullet likes to party and give love. I apologize to anyone who was offended by this shirt because they knew about the allegations. I’m learning, and this was noted.
