Bron Breakker joins WWE SmackDown lineup in todays Wrestling news
Breakker and Baron Corbin currently hold the NXT Tag Team Titles.
Bron Breakker has joined the SmackDown roster.
Breakker was announced as SmackDown’s newest acquisition on Friday night. On SmackDown, Nick Aldis, the general manager of SmackDown, signed Breakker to contract.
Breakker will debut in the ring on SmackDown next Friday (February 23, 2019). The opponent for his match has not yet been announced.
Aldis, Raw’s general manager Adam Pearce and Breakker had been trying to sign Breakker ever since his appearance at the Royal Rumble.
Breakker, despite being called up to NXT’s main roster, is still a champion. Breakker & Baron Corbin took the NXT Tag Team title from Tony D’Angelo & Stacks this week. They won the 2024 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic to earn the title shot.
Breakker, 26, is the son and nephew of Scott Steiner. Breakker has won the NXT Championship two times since joining WWE in 2020.
Naomi and Tiffany Stratton have also recently joined SmackDown’s roster.
Jade Cargill is still a free agent following her Royal Rumble debut. She has not yet joined Raw or SmackDown.
