Breakker & Corbin were the winners of Sunday’s Vengeance day.
The 2024 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winners are Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin.
Breakker hit a spear to win the match against Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams at the NXT Vengeance day premium live event on Sunday. Breakker & Corbin’s victory has earned them a future NXT Tag Team Title match against current champions Stacks & Tony D’Angelo.
Corbin suggested that Breakker and he team up just before the start of the tournament. Breakker initially resisted the idea but eventually agreed. The team reached the finals by defeating Gallus and the Nathan Frazer & Team Axiom.
Williams initially wanted to focus on the NXT Championship match he would have against Ilja Dragunov during Vengeance Day. However, he agreed to team up with Hayes because he said he could wrestle two times in one night and become a Triple Crown champion if necessary. They defeated Edris & Malik Blade, as well as Latino World Order (Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro), to make it to the Sunday tournament finals.
