Britt Baker will be returning to the ring next week for the first time after All In, when AEW Dynamite celebrates its fifth anniversary. She will face Serena Deeb.
The new match for the fifth anniversary edition Dynamite next week was confirmed on Wednesday night’s Grand Slam broadcast. Baker’s return to the ring was first announced in last week’s Collision and Deeb challenged Baker later in that same episode.
Baker missed over 10 months of action between September 2023 and July of this year, before she returned to feuding with TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. Baker won two tune-ups on Dynamite & Collision prior to the Mone match on August 25, 2024. Mercedes retained her title in that match. Baker has not wrestled in the past.
AEW International Champion Will Ospreay defending against Ricochet is the other match official for next week’s Dynamite fifth anniversary episode on Wednesday, October 2. The lineup:
