Mercedes Mone and Britt Bakker will officially clash at AEW All In.
Tony Khan confirmed during AEW’s panel on Thursday at San Diego Comic-Con that Mone would defend her TBS Championship on Sunday, 25 August, against Baker at Wembley Stadium. Since Baker’s return to Forbidden Doors last month, the two have been feuding.
Mone refused to accept Baker’s challenge on All In before the match was official. She declined the challenge again last night on Dynamite. In the episode, Kamille, a former NWA Women’s champion, arrived in AEW to align herself with Mone. Kamille attacked Baker with a Torture Rack Slam.
During today’s Comic-Con, Mone and Kamille – dressed as Batman villains Poison ivy and Bane – confronted Baker. Khan announced Mone vs. Baker as part of the All In pay per view.
Baker is in a numerical disadvantage to Mone and Kamille because Jamie Hayter has been out of the game for more than a full year. Khan said that Hayter’s return date is still unknown.
Mone is the TBS Champion after dethroning Willow Nightingale in May. She is also the current NJPW Strong Women’s champion.
Five matches have now been announced for All In:
- AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland defends against Bryan Danielson
- AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm defends against Mariah May
- AEW American Champion MJF defends against Will Ospreay
- TNT Champion Jack Perry defends against Darby Allin
