Hart has no respect for Vince McMahon following the allegations made Janel Grant.
Bret Hart lost all respect for Vince McMahon after Janel Grant filed a lawsuit.
Hart made his first public comments about the situation in a Friday interview with Slate. Hart said that he will speak his truth, and is not worried about McMahon’s feelings because McMahon never cared for Hart’s.
Hart said, “I have no problem with everyone kicking their heads around the parking lot.” “I don’t mind if the truth comes out.”
Hart told Slate he was embarrassed to have ever respected McMahon.
Hart said, “I’ve always respected him.” “Now it’s tainted. I’m ashamed that I thought such high of him.”
Grant, a former WWE worker, accuses McMahon in her lawsuit of physical and mental abuse, sexual assault and sex slavery. McMahon and WWE are named as defendants.
Hart called the allegation that McMahon allegedly fecated Grant’s back and head while she was being raped, Hart “sick and disgusting.”
Hart said: “When you see that vision in your mind, you think, ‘That is messed up.'” “It is too sick and disgusting for me to imagine.”
Grant’s lawsuit contains graphic text messages that McMahon is alleged to have sent.
Hart said, “They sound just like Vince.”
Hart told Slate he heard whispers about sexual abuse during his time as a wrestler.
Hart said, “I don’t believe this is the only instance of this kind predatory behavior.” “I think it’s all over [WWE],” Hart said.
Hart believes that McMahon’s association with Grant’s accusations will never change.
Hart said: “Vince will be a joke, just like Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein, or Jeffrey Dahmer.” “He’ll be a joke, and you’ll laugh at the shock factor of a joke about ‘What Vince McMahon did?’ He will always be associated with this tale, especially as it grows bigger and larger.”
Hart said that he had apologized to former WWE referee Rita Chatterton at a convention just a few months earlier for not believing her 1986 rape allegation against McMahon. McMahon has agreed to pay Chatterton millions of dollars in 2022. McMahon claimed he denied Chatterton’s claim, but settled to avoid the costs of litigation.
Hart said: “I apologized to the depth of my heart. I also said that I believe what happened to me happened to me. I apologize. “I was wrong.
Hart sent Slate writer Abraham Josephine Riesman a text message following their interview.
I think that despite all the issues I had with Vince, I knew, deep down, that I always respected him. But now, knowing how weird he has become, I have zero respect for him. I don’t think I would ever be able to shake his hand, even if he offered it. Too creepy.
McMahon quit WWE and TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of WWE, after Grant’s suit was filed in late July. McMahon denied the allegations, and said he would vigorously defend himself.
