In a new interview, Bobby Lashley, the former WWE champion, addressed his career and his future after leaving WWE. He noted that he still wanted to wrestle.
Lashley said that while he was in negotiations with a promotion for boxing, he still had his eye on the wrestling ring.
“Wrestling. I still want wrestle. I love wrestling. I love wrestling.
“Boxing. I’ve trained boxing. A boxing company called and offered me a matchup. We’re in discussions with them. So I’ve trained boxing. I love boxing.”
Lashley mentioned that he would also spend time on acting, MMA, and his charitable work after leaving WWE because his contract expired at the end last week.
“Wrestling? Yes. Boxing? Yes. MMA? Yes. Acting? Yes. “Yes, everything right now. My non-profit, working with children, I love that, I enjoy working with children, I want to give something back.”
“I’ve been working with some real-estate professionals [in Texas] in order to bring some of my property down here.”
“I’m doing everything.” I think of it this way: YOLO — you only live once. I still have a lot in my tank. I’m in great shape. I feel good. I’m motivated. I’m rested.”
Lashley also tried to clarify comments that he made about the differences between his relationships with former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, and current WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H”, Levesque. He felt they were twisted in an unfavorable way.
“I want to clarify…I made a comment regarding Triple H and Vince. In any interview I have ever given, you’ll see that I am never negative. I never badmouth anyone or the business. “I left WWE in 2008 and you cannot find an article where I have said anything bad about anyone there.”
“I said that I had a better relationship with Vince than Triple H and everyone was after me. Vince did this, and Triple H did that. It was a simple, innocent statement. I talked to Vince more when he was here. I don’t really know what people do in their private lives. “I concentrate my efforts on where I work.”
“Vince was always trying to show me a different side when we were together.” There were different things that I did when Vince was in control …”
“What Vince said to me was that I wanted to see different layers in you… He was saying man, there’s a lot more to you. So I want to make it uncomfortable for you on TV so we can get these different layers.”
“So I had an entirely different relationship with Vince. We didn’t get to sit down when Triple H appeared. He didn’t have a chance to meet me.”
