Bobby Lashley, MVP and WWE are parting ways.
As things stand, WWE assumes that both contracts will expire, and that they will be gone. They are now re-launching The Hurt Business.
“I don’t think it is a deal done or anything like that, but it is something alive,” he said.
Fightful Select reported first on Sunday that Bobby Lashley’s contract would expire “within a month or two, possibly over a period of weeks.” Later in the day, MVP posted a emoji saluting on X.
The Hurt Business was formed in 2020 by Lashley, MVP Benjamin, Cedric Alexander, and Cedric Alexander. They were prominently featured during the pandemic on the Raw brand, with Lashley holding both the WWE United States and WWE titles at one point, and Alexander & Benjamin the Raw Tag Team title. The group split up in early 2022. The storyline of a reunion, which was teased in the past year, was quietly dropped.
Alexander is still with WWE, and was recently moved to NXT.
