Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa will be the opponents for Orton & Knight.
The first time in history, Randy Orton and LA Knight will be collaborating.
WWE announced that Orton and Knight will face The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa on Friday’s SmackDown in a tag-team match. This is a special episode titled Tribute to the Troops.
The Bloodline is a common enemy for Knight and Orton. Knight defended Orton last Friday after Uso and Sikoa attacked him. After Knight and Sikoa brawled in the back, Orton knocked out Uso using an RKO.
Last week, both Raw and SmackDown general managers Adam Pearce wanted to sign Orton for their respective brands. Orton decided to sign a SmackDown exclusive contract.
Orton returned to the ring recently at Survivor Series. He was out of action from May 2022 because of a career-threatening injury to his back. Orton had double fusion surgery on his back last year.
Before his back injury, Orton was in a feud with The Bloodline. In the storyline, Orton accuses The Bloodline of causing his back injury.
It seems that Orton is a potential challenger to Undisputed WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns. Orton sent Reigns a message after signing his SmackDown deal last week.
“Hey Paul [Heyman], you can call Roman Reigns,” Orton said. “And you can say to him: Daddy is back.”
The Amica Mutual Pavilion is the venue for Friday’s SmackDown. Here’s what’s been announced so far for the show.
