Becky Lynch wants WWE WrestMania 40 Night One to be opened by her in todays Wrestling news
Lynch isn’t concerned about not being the main event at WrestleMania in this year.
Becky Lynch hopes that her match with Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley to open WrestleMania will be the opening match.
Ripley and Lynch will not be able to headline either night one or two of WrestleMania, as The Bloodline’s story and Cody Rhodes’ story will take up both spots. Roman Reigns, The Rock and Seth Rollins are the main event of night one. The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match between Reigns and Rhodes will be the last match of night two.
In an interview with ClutchPoints Lynch said that she’s not worried about missing out on the main event of WrestleMania in this year. Lynch said that she would love to open the show. If Lynch isn’t the main match, she wants to be the first match. The fans are so excited.
Lynch said:
I don’t care about the card order. I would love to be the one to open the show. I would love to do that. I’ve never watched WrestleMania.
Just to let you know, it would be a great honor to open this event in Philadelphia. It would be cool because even if it isn’t the main event, it’s always great to be the opening spot on the card. People are always so excited.
Lynch clarified she would prefer opening night one rather than night two.
Oh, night one. You know what I mean? Just to be the first match of that entire event.
The opening of the show will give me enough time to relax and enjoy Colby [Seth Rollins] as he main events WrestleMania. It will be so exciting to watch.
Lynch won the Elimination Chamber match against Ripley last month, securing her shot at the WrestleMania title.
Ripley’s Women’s World Championship reign is approaching the one-year mark. She won the title back from Charlotte Flair in April 2023 at WrestleMania.
WrestleMania forty will take place on April 6 and 7.
This Tuesday, March 26, Lynch’s autobiography, “Becky Lynch, The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl,” is set to be released before WrestleMania.
