Bayley thinks it’s time for WWE to host another all-women event.
WWE Evolution, the company’s very first all-women pay-per view, took place in Long Island, New York on October 18, 2018. WWE has not followed up with Evolution 2 but Bayley thinks the company should now that it is entering a new creative age.
Cody Rhodes interviewed Bayley on the first episode “What Do You Want to Talk About?,” an all-new WWE YouTube series sponsored by Wheatley American Vodka.
“Yes. Why not? Bayley replied, “Like we just said, there are so many women.” “The thing about the first was that we had so many NXT girls, and they got to showcase their talent on a larger stage. But they had so much women from the past. It’s like the first few [women’s Royal] Rumbles. There were a lot of older women because there weren’t enough women to fill these matches. Now we have more women. And I think that it would be awesome to give everyone on Raw and SmackDown an Evolution 2 part.
You can bring girls from NXT. You can bring girls — we just watched Jordynne grace on NXT. TNA girls can be brought in, or any other girls with a connection. You can bring in someone from the past to do a small thing, if they are up for it. We have a very stacked lineup right now, so we can do a show, or another PLE, on our own. It’s been a long time since we’ve had to do it every year. We’re like, “All right.” We’ve seen this enough times. But I think it’s finally time, because it’s a different age compared to then.
Bayley was on the Evolution PPV card, and she teamed up with Sasha Banks & Natalya in a six woman tag match to defeat The Riott Squad. She told Rhodes it was one of her favourite matches.
Rhodes believes that another Evolution is coming and it will be soon.
Bayley, the current WWE Women’s Champion, will defend her title against Nia Jaxe at SummerSlam this Saturday.
