Aubrey Edwards, AEW referee, is in Mexico for her first appearance with CMLL.
CMLL will be holding its 2024 Grand Prix de Amazonas at Arena Mexico tonight (October 25, 2018). AEW wrestlers Willow Nightingale, Red Velvet and Edwards are all taking part in this match. It was announced today that Edwards would also be one of the referees.
The Grand Prix elimination matches will feature Team Mexico and Team World, with the Grand Prix winner being the last person standing. Amapola will face Dark Silueta, Hera, Kira, Lluvia, Princesa Sugehit, Reyna, Skadi & Zeuxis vs. Nightingale, Velvet, Alex Windsor, La Catalina, Persephone, Samantha Black, Sumika Yanagawa, Tessa Blanchard, Unagi Sayaka & Viva Van.
Blanchard wants to win the Grand Prix again. Claudio Castagnoli, AEW’s star, won the men’s Grand Prix.
