Asuka takes a break from WWE to treat a knee injury in todays Wrestling news
Asuka has spoken out about her knee injury.
Asuka announced on her YouTube channel Kana Chan TV that she was taking a short break after Backlash in order to treat a knee problem.
“After my European tour with Backlash, I took a break from the tour to treat my injured knee,” she wrote on the video. “My partners Kairi, and Dakota helped me greatly during this tour because I was unable to move at my best. I am very grateful for both of them.”
The video ends with the words, “See you soon.”
Asuka missed house shows in March due to a possible knee injury she sustained on an episode SmackDown. She wrestled last at WWE Backlash, in Leon, France, earlier this month. She and Kairi were defeated by Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Asuka was replaced by Dakota Kai in the Queen of the Ring Tournament on Monday after she lost to Lyra in the first round.
