Khan also addressed the release of The Boys, Brandon and Brent Tate.
Tony Khan spoke about AEW’s recent talent reductions during today’s ROH supercard of honor media call.
Khan stated that he must keep an eye on his budget to be able to sign top free agents. He said that he was expanding the budget and would be aggressive when it comes to pursuing top talent.
Anthony Henry was released this week. He has not wrestled since he broke his jaw at a Deadlock Pro Wrestling show last month. Khan addressed Henry’s release, saying that he will return to the company after he is cleared.
Henry confirmed the news in a later writing.
I want to thank everyone who has supported me this week. I never knew how much my work affected so many people. I’ve never seen anyone rally around me so much. It’s an unbelievable feeling. I love you all. See you soon.

Khan was also questioned about Brandan and Brent Tate leaving the company. The Boys were part of an ongoing story between Johnny TV and Dalton Castle that led to a Supercard of Honor match. Khan said the brothers had failed to show up at work on several occasions, and he was forced to make a “tough call.”
Brent said that Khan’s comments about X were “far from truth.”
Supercard of Honor will take place on Friday, April 5, at the Liacouras Center, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. HonorClub will broadcast it live.
