The AEW star announced on Monday that he would be out of the ring due to a broken jaw. He will need surgery. The injury occurred during a Deadlock Pro Wrestling bout on Sunday in which Bryan Keith defeated Henry and retained the DPW National Title.
Henry wrote, “Absolutely gutted.” “In the match last night against Bryan Keith, a knee strike broke my jaw. The #workhorsemen were preparing for some exciting events. We can no longer be part of the @AEW tag-team tournament. “I will have surgery shortly.”
“I don’t really know how I’ll handle this,” he said. “I’ve never experienced an injury like this. I don’t even know what I would do without wrestling. My biggest fear is that this injury will ruin any future plans [JD] Drake or I have. I may not be around for a little while. I’m grateful to all the fans that support us!”
The WorkHorsemen wrestled on ROH TV as a team. In their latest tag match, they lost to Sting & Darby Allen on the January 6, 2018 episode of Collision.
Sting & Allin vacated AEW Tag Teams after defeating the Young Bucks during Sting’s final match. This Saturday, a tournament to crown new champs will start on Collision. The bracket has not yet been revealed.
