Idolo was a video guest on Friday’s show at Arena Mexico.

Andrade El Idolo has officially returned to CMLL.

During CMLL’s show at Arena Mexico, a video featuring Andrade el Idolo was aired on Friday. He said he was returning to CMLL and will be back next Friday, December 15, for his homecoming.

Last week, CMLL aired a trailer of a star who would be joining the company soon, leading to speculations that Idolo could be returning.

Idolo is not in CMLL anymore since 2015. He wrestled under La Sombra. He lost a mask vs. Mask match to Atlantis shortly before leaving for WWE at CMLL’s 82nd anniversary show. During his time with the company, he also held the IWGP Intercontinental Title as part of a talent deal between CMLL & New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Idolo has signed with AEW and is participating in their Continental Classic tournament, which runs until the end of this month. He will face Bryan Danielson this Saturday in a match.
