Andrade El Idolo is pulled from GCW show in todays Wrestling news
GCW announced that Andrade has been removed from the show Monday.
Andrade will not be competing in the GCW event this weekend.
The company announced on social media that both Andrade and Maki itoh were pulled from the upcoming No Compadre show, which will take place this Friday in Chicago at Thalia Hall. Andrade was originally scheduled to face Jonathan Gresham. Lio Rush has taken his place.
Andrade lost his final match at Worlds End in AEW on December 30 to Miro. He confirmed the following week that he no longer had a contract. Andrade, it has been reported, is likely to return to WWE where he wrestled previously before leaving in 2020.
Itoh announced on social media that she was taking a break. GCW confirmed later that Itoh will not be taking part in her upcoming company tour due to injury. Blake Christian and Tony Deppen have also been pulled from Saturday’s GCW event at Columbus, but will compete on Friday.
