Amari Miller: ‘Door is not closed’ on WWE return in todays Wrestling news
Miller has been with the company from 2021.
Amari Miller claims she has a positive relationship with WWE, and could return to the company.
The 27-year old announced last week that both parties had decided to not renew her contract. She was with the company since 2021.
Miller revealed in a recent interview that her WWE departure was due to a series of events.
Miller said:
It was mainly just creative. They didn’t have much for me to do creatively, and my contract was about to end anyway so I felt that it was the best of both worlds. It was mostly from their side, but it wasn’t like, “Oh please, I am begging” it was more like, “You know what, thanks for the opportunity, it’s really appreciated.” There was nothing else I could do. I worked my butts off, I went there every day, i was putting stats in and stuff like that, and there is no bad blood between us.
Miller missed the majority of 2023 due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in February. After her return, Miller only wrestled at live events and in two episodes of Level Up. She had previously performed on 205 Live, NXT and 205 Live after the show was rebranded to NXT2.0 in September 2021.
Miller continued:
I had injuries all throughout my career in WWE, so I understand why people think that I might be a liability. To end it all, I had no creative ideas so it was time to go our separate way. The door is still open. Coach said he’d always put his name in front of me if necessary, so I have a very strong relationship with WWE.
