AJ Francis wins Digital Media Title on TNA Impact in todays Wrestling news
The former Top Dolla won his first championship with TNA Wrestling by winning the Digital Media title at Thursday’s Impact.
AJ Francis defeated Laredo kid on Thursday, 6 June edition of TNA Impact and won the Digital Media Championship.
Laredo Kid, distracted by Francis’s First Class Teammate Rich Swann, was able to hit a dive on Swann just before the finish. Francis took advantage of the distraction by hitting something that looked like a powerbomb and scoring the pinfall victory.
Laredo Kid held the Digital Media title after defeating Crazzy Steven for the belt at the Countdown to Rebellion Pre-show on April 20. He managed to defend the title successfully once before losing it to Francis.
The title change was recorded on May 19.
Francis was released from his WWE contract after two separate stints as Top Dolla for the Hit Row stable, from 2020 to 2021, and again from 2022-2023.
