AEW will tape Dynamite and Collision at the same time during WrestleMania Week in todays Wrestling news
Collision will be a head-to-head match against WrestleMania’s first night.
The Saturday, 6th April edition of AEW Collision won’t be a live event against the first night WWE WrestleMania 40.
During Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite it was announced that a live Dynamite as well as a taped Collision would take place on Wednesday, April 3, from the DCU Center, in Worcester, Massachusetts.
It is not known if April 6th Collision will run in direct competition with WrestleMania, or if it will pre-empt the show.
Supercard of Honor, a live event by Tony Khan’s Ring of Honor, will be held in Philadelphia on Friday April 5th. This decision may have contributed to the decision not to hold three live events within four days.
The Saturday before WrestleMania begins at 8 PM Eastern, WWE NXT will host their Stand & Deliver Show at 11:30 AM Eastern. These shows are in addition the the indie shows that will be taking place in the Philadelphia area on Saturday.
The April date is not the only time over the next month-plus that Collision will not air live:
- This Wednesday, AEW will hold a joint Dynamite/Collision show in Huntsville, Alabama, with the Revolution pay-per-view taking place next Sunday.
- AEW will tape Collision on Thursday, March 7th in Duluth, Georgia, that will air on Saturday, March 9th.
