AEW could be reviving plans for a big-man match.
AEW had planned to hold the first ever Meat Madness match at Revolution earlier this year. The match was postponed, and instead an All-Star scramble took place. The match was postponed because Tony Khan could not use some of the wrestlers he wanted for Meat Madness. Khan said he would still present Meat Madness when there was sufficient healthy depth.
AEW has applied to trademark “Meat Mayhem”. The application was filed on 8 August and covers the following goods and/or services:
Entertainment services that are in the form of live wrestling performances. Entertainment services that are in the form of the production of wrestling events and programs. Entertainment services namely a multi-platform multimedia program featuring wrestling.
Miro vs. During AEW’s big man matches, fans chanted “Meat!” during Powerhouse Hobbs’ All Out 2023 match. Miro and Keith Lee are two of the wrestlers Khan hoped to have in Meat Madness, when it was scheduled at Revolution. Both are still out.
AEW filed a trademark application for “Meat Madness”, in February.
