AEW Tag Team tournament semifinals set in todays Wrestling news
AEW Collision has led to the advancement of four teams into the semifinals.
Two teams have advanced to the Tag Team Title Tournament of the AEW.
Top Flight and FTR both won their quarterfinal matches on Saturday’s Collision. They defeated Ricky Starks, Big Bill, and The Infantry, respectively. The two teams will now meet in the semifinals.
FTR was the first to advance after hitting the shattering machine on Shawn Dean. Top Flight won the next night in a shock victory over former champions Bill Starks and Bill. Darius Martin used a tornado DDT to win.
The first semifinal match will take place on Wednesday, after Best Friends and The Young Bucks both won their quarterfinals matches on Dynamite. The finals are at AEW dynasty on April 21st in St. Louis.
The AEW tag team titles were vacated when former champions Sting & Darby allin defeated The Young Bucks at AEW Revolution. This was Sting’s final match before retiring.
