Sammy Guevara returns to AEW/ROH.
During Sunday’s ROH TV tapings in Arlington Texas, Guevara returned by attacking members from the Dark Order. He also saved Dustin Rhodes.
Guevara made his first appearance since he was suspended by AEW for not following concussion protocols in a match against Jeff Hardy. In May, Guevara’s suspension was lifted, but no date was given for his return.
In a posting on X, Guevara said that he and his wife Tay Melo are both training for their return to the ring. Melo gave birth last fall to their daughter.
“We’re both training for our comebacks, and I wish you could see the work she puts in,” wrote he. “Some days are tougher than others, but she has been doing an amazing job as a wife and mother!”
Dustin Rhodes and the Von Erichs won a number-one contenders match on Friday at ROH Death Before Dishonor by defeating The Dark Order. The next day, at Battle of the Belts XI they defeated Roderick strong, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett in order to win the vacant ROH Six-Man Tag Team Titles.
