According to a report, AEW star Kenny Omega underwent surgery to treat diverticulitis.
Fightful Select reported on Thursday that Omega had undergone surgery for diverticulitis.
Omega was reported to have had surgery in the New York area on Thursday, 16 May.
Omega revealed in an earlier Twitch stream he would be undergoing surgery “very, very very soon.” Omega also said:
“I found a wonderful doctor.” Omega said that he was a top-notch doctor. “He is hard to schedule appointments with, and he is hard to schedule surgeries with. He has done me a favor and I will be having surgery very, very, soon.”
Omega has been out since December due to diverticulitis. He was originally scheduled to compete in a tag-team bout at the December Worlds End pay per view, but he was pulled due to illness.
Omega was back as a TV Character on the Dynamite episode of May 1, including participating in a storyline where he had been laid out by The Elite. He then appeared the following week on Dynamite to promote the Anarchy in the Arena pay-per view match for this Sunday.
