The Greensboro Coliseum, in North Carolina, hosted the show on Sunday.

As expected, Sting’s retirement match helped AEW Revolution to do big business in the box office on Sunday.

Venues Now reported that the sold-out pay-per view from Greensboro’s Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina brought in over $1 million in gate revenues with an attendance of 16118.

Scott Johnson, deputy director of the coliseum, said that the average ticket cost was $55. There was no breakdown of paid tickets versus comp tickets.

Venues Now reported that gross merchandise sales amounted to nearly $349,000, with an average spending of $21.64 — figures Johnson said were comparable with concerts. Over $306,000 was spent in concessions, which does not include suites.

Johnson said that the Coliseum usually books four wrestling events a year, divided between AEW, WWE and other companies, which all do “tremendously” well.

Tony Khan, AEW’s head, says that the live gate record for AEW is All In, which took place in London’s Wembley Stadium last August and generated over $10 Million. This was followed by Forbidden Door, which took place in Toronto, Canada, last June, and did nearly $1.2 Million.
