AEW announced the official hiring of a chief operating officer, in addition to his responsibilities.
Fightful first reported the hiring of Kosha in January 2024 as AEW continued filling roles left vacant by other employees such as former Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer Rafael Morffi, and former Chief Marketing & Merchandising Officer Dana Massie.
Irby, the first COO named in AEW’s history, is joining a growing C-suite of new vice presidents such as Jennifer Pepperman last month who was hired as their vp for content development.
Irby is a wrestler with a background. He worked for WWE as their regional director of Live Events from 2011 to 2017. He was the chief marketing officer of Clemson’s athletic department.
His responsibilities include “all strategic planning, execution, and management of Live Events, Finance, Human Resources and other major business lines for the company.”
