Adam Cole is not yet cleared to compete in AEW but he’s ‘getting a lot better’ in todays Wrestling news
Adam Cole’s journey to return to AEW is ongoing. Tony Khan, the company’s head, said that his star was not yet 100% but “he is getting better and better.”
Khan revealed the news to CBS Sports in a conversation, saying that Cole is still not cleared to compete. He did not give a timeframe for when this could happen.
“I think his recovery is great news for AEW. Adam Cole is loved by us and his fans. He’s been an important part of the company for almost three years now of our five-year journey. It’s crazy that Adam Cole felt like he would be at the top of the world of wrestling a year ago, said Khan.
Cole broke his ankle after he jumped off the entrance ramp of the September 2023 Grand Slam Edition of Dynamite while he was running out to help the then-World Champion MJF. He had to have two surgeries, and both screws and plates were inserted into his foot.
Cole has appeared on TV sporadically since he was revealed as The Devil and turned on MJF in December’s Worlds End. This officially formed The Undisputed Kingdom. MJF is recovering from injuries, and hasn’t been on TV since Worlds End where he lost to Samoa Joe.
