LA Knight was pleased with the interaction he enjoyed with Kevin Nash at WWE SummerSlam.
Nash has taken shots at Knight in the past on his podcast, calling him “an absolute ripoff” of The Rock. But Nash claimed that there was no tension between the two during their conversation in the catering backstage at SummerSlam. Nash described Knight as “a really nice man.”
Knight described the interaction in an interview with Daily Mail as positive.
Knight said, “It was funny because he walked up to me while I was in catering talking to two guys. I felt his hand on my back and he said hi and we spoke for a moment.”
“He asked about the match and everything was fine and dandy. I am a reflection in many ways – I return whatever I receive. We could talk trash and it could be anything. It could be what he says in the podcast, or even what I say. I would have responded accordingly if he had come into the room talking about, you know, craziness, or whatever. But he was sweet, and I was sweet right back.”
Knight defeated Logan Paul to become the United States Champion at SummerSlam. It’s the title Knight holds for the first time on the WWE main lineup.
Knight defends his title against Santos Escobar on SmackDown tonight, August 23.
