Bryan Danielson will always look back on his time in the AEW ring with gratitude.
Danielson told Uproxx Sports that he had the most fun in his career during his three years with AEW. Danielson, who loved his time in WWE but prefers AEW’s in-ring style, has said that he is more comfortable in AEW. He also loves AEW’s creative freedom and the time he has been able to spend spending with his family.
“This was the most fun I have ever had in my life,” Danielson said. Danielson said that for the first time in his life and wrestling career, he didn’t feel as if he was sacrificing his family to do what he loved.
“I love wrestling, and I loved being a part of WWE. “I love wrestling and I loved being in WWE. I loved being in WWE but it wasn’t the style of wrestling that I preferred. In AEW I can wrestle in the style I want. You also have a great deal of creative freedom. I get to spend a lot more time with my family when I come home. This is what I really think of the last three years. I see them as a huge, huge blessing on top of a career I wasn’t sure I deserved.”
Danielson will face Swerve Strickland in the main pay-per view event on Sunday. If Danielson loses the match, he must retire from in-ring competition.
Danielson is full of praise for Strickland, despite their on-screen rivalry.
“As a person, he is just remarkable. He is an incredible wrestler and knows what fans want in a wrestling match. He’s an incredible wrestler and has a mind to match. Danielson told Uproxx that what sets Swerve apart from other fighters is his ability define his character and appear different. “As soon he enters the ring, he makes you feel special. He is. He is a very intelligent man. He’s a very athletic guy. He is a master of wrestling. He has a great sense of entertainment. He has a great sense of music. “I think the character he is able to portray on TV is really remarkable.”
The PPV will be held at Wembley Stadium, London. The main card starts at 1 p.m. Eastern time in the United States. The event will begin with a two-hour-long pre-show.
