According to a recent report by Fightful, LA Knight is set to remain in WWE in the years to come with more money in his account.
The outlet reported that Knight restructured his WWE contract during the summer for “a significant time increase” as well as “a large amount of money.”
His original contract was due to expire at the beginning of 2025. Both sides were reportedly in negotiations as far back as 2023.
After a stint in the NWA the man formerly known as Eli Drake debuted under his new name in NXT on February 2021. He was then called up to the Main Roster in January 2022, as a manager named Max Dupri. This was later dropped. Knight’s popularity skyrocketed in 2023 thanks to his promos, which evoked both Steve Austin and The Rock.
Knight, who will turn 42 in November, defeated Logan Paul to win the United States title during this past weekend’s WWE SummerSlam. This was his first WWE title reign. Knight will celebrate his championship on Friday’s SmackDown.
