Roman Reigns is set to appear on the first episode of WWE SmackDown when it returns to USA Network in a month.
WWE.com has announced that Reigns will be appearing at the Climate Pledge Arena on Friday, September 13, 2018. SmackDown is back on USA Network after airing on Fox from 2019 onwards. WWE and NBCUniversal agreed to a 5-year deal to air SmackDown on USA Network until 2029.
Reigns made his return to WWE programming at SummerSlam, last weekend. He had been away for four months. He had been away from WWE programming since losing the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania to Cody Rhodes. Reigns has become a babyface, and is set to face Solo Sikoa.
Reigns slayed Sikoa at SummerSlam with a Superman Punch and spear. Sikoa became the new Tribal chief while Reigns wasn’t on WWE television. Sikoa betrayed Jimmy Uso, Paul Heyer and Jimmy Uso by bringing Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa into The Bloodline.
Reigns will make an appearance on tonight’s SummerSlam Fallout episode of SmackDown. Reigns will also appear on the show this Friday (August 16).
