Swerve Strickland is the leader of the AEW roster at this time, and Chris Jericho feels proud.
Since April, Strickland is the AEW World Champion. During his reign, he has successfully retained the belt in battles against Claudio Castagnoli Christian Cage Roderick Strong and Will Ospreay. Strickland will defend his title against Bryan Danielson in the All In event. If Danielson loses the match, he will retire.
Jericho was AEW’s first ever World Champion. In an interview with Sports Illustrated he praised Strickland’s work. Jericho said that he can’t believe Strickland will be released by WWE 2021.
“This is his first time as champion and look at what he’s done. Wait until the next time, the third time, and the fourth. Jericho said, “He has stars written all over him.”

Jericho pointed out that Strickland, as champion, also occupies the role as AEW team Captain.
Jericho said, “His persona was larger-than-life. He worked extremely hard and he is a good —-. “His energy was amazing. The man could tear down the house. Swerve is the team captain at this time, and I am proud to be a part of that roster.
All In will be broadcast from Wembley Stadium, London on Sunday August 25. Jericho’s pay-per view match has not yet been announced, but AEW is building towards Jericho defending his FTW Championship.
Jericho is a leader in AEW’s The Learning Tree, a group that includes Big Bill and Bryan Keith.
