According to a recent report by Fightful, the former X-Division champion Mustafa Ali has left TNA Wrestling.
Ali posted a goodbye letter to the X-Division on social media last week after his loss to TNA World Championship Nic Nemeth. However, it wasn’t clear if he would be wrapping up his tenure in general.
Ali announced his move to TNA as part of the “world tour” he had undertaken after leaving WWE. He has wrestled in the rings of NJPW and GCW, Deadlock Pro and Prestige Wrestling, among others. He made his TNA debut at No Surrender in February, where he defeated Chris Sabin to win the X-Division Title.
He would wrestle for TNA in 20 matches, defending his title eight times during that time in TNA as well as several independent companies. He lost his title to “Speedball Mike Bailey” at July’s Slammiversary.
Ali is still accepting indie bookings. She has commitments until November, which include a trip to Australia.
