Bryan Danielson is open to working again with Shane McMahon if he ends up joining AEW.
When WWE brought its brand split back in 2016, Danielson & Shane were paired as authority figures on SmackDown. They even teamed together at WrestleMania to defeat Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Shane recently met with AEW boss Tony Khan. It is possible that Danielson and Shane may work together again.
Gorilla Position published an interview with Danielson on Tuesday in which he asked him about this possibility.
Danielson replied, “I’m open to working anywhere and with anyone.” “I have no beef with anyone.” So, yeah, 100 percent.”
Danielson said he has no inside information about the relationship between AEW & Shane. Danielson would not disclose the information publicly if he had it.
“It was fascinating because Tony [Khan] told me after the photo was released, he said ‘Oh yes, I didn’t want to say this before, but I met Shane McMahon. I didn’t mention this, but I was like ‘Yeah I know. Danielson said, “The picture was everywhere. “Although to be fair, I am not aware of many things because I do not go on Twitter or social media, and all that sort of stuff.”
Last week, Shane and Khan met in Arlington, Texas. Shane released a statement describing the meeting as “great”. Shane said that he and Khan “talked many things but mostly about their shared love for business and the rewards of working with family.”
Danielson will face Swerve Strickland at All In, on Sunday 25th August. If Danielson does not win, he will be retiring from ring competition. Danielson is also involved in AEW’s behind-the-scenes.
