Roman Reigns will be back in WWE soon.
Reigns will appear on SmackDown this week from the BOK center in Tulsa. WWE’s site features him as one of the talent for the show. The arena has also confirmed today that Reigns is going to be at SmackDown on Friday night (9 August).
“The Tribal chief Roman Reigns has returned and he will be making his first television appearance right here in Tulsa on FRIDAY!” The BOK Center published a post stating that Roman Reigns will be appearing at WWE Friday Night SmackDown following the fallout from SummerSlam.
Reigns stayed away from WWE for 4 months after losing the Undisputed WWE championship to Cody Rhodes during WrestleMania. He appeared during the Rhodes-Solo Sikoa main match at SummerSlam and knocked out Sikoa using a Superman Punch and a spear. Rhodes defeated Sikoa to remain Undisputed WWE Champion.
Sikoa became the new Tribal chief while Reigns was away from WWE television. He brought Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa into the faction, while betraying Jimmy Uso & Paul Heyer.
Reigns calls himself the “Original tribal chief.” It appears that WWE is building up to a Bloodline Civil War with babyface Reigns as the two leaders and heel Sikoa.
Reigns, in storyline, is a free agent. He is not a member of the SmackDown roster or Raw roster. He was not included in the WWE Draft 2024 because it took place while he was away from television.
