Mercedes Mone confirmed that she had divorced her husband after nearly eight years and said “I’m now free.”
In a video posted on her YouTube channel, Mone confirmed she had signed divorce papers with WWE costume designer Sarath To, a former independent wrestler who used the ring name Mikaze.
Mercedes spoke with her lawyer Keven Undergaro about the details of her separation in a pilot video for Mone Talks.
“That’s why I wanted to do the pilot, too, because, tomorrow, after a long time, finally, I will be signing my divorce papers. I’m excited, happy. For me, I am just ready to be released.
“I’m ready to be fearless.”
Mone explained that the couple had been separated since 2020, but she kept this information private for various reasons:
“I’ve kept my secret for so long because I didn’t want anyone to judge me or say anything about what was happening, especially at the time.”
“We have been apart for a long while.” We separated at the end December 2020. He moved out in 2021. “I was busy shooting The Mandalorian and trying to be the main attraction at WrestleMania. Of course, I didn’t want this stuff to leak.”
Mone praised Mone’s now ex-husband and credited him with saving her life.
“I’m getting a divorce. Sarath, now my ex-husband, and I have a wonderful relationship.
He’s an incredible, amazing guy, and another person who has changed and saved my own life. “But I’m happy to be free, and to announce that I am finally getting a divorce.”
Mone also stated that she kept her separation from WWE under wraps, as she did not know how Vince McMahon’s reaction would be.

I was in a storyline where I was with Bianca, Carmella and Carmella’s sommelier Reggie, and Vince was so obsessed about me and the sommelier. I was like, “Oh my god, he wanted to be with us” and all that stuff. Sarath and I decided to keep the secret.
“And then, a year passes and I still do not want to say anything. And then comes the [WWE] walking out. “Like, all of this stuff happens.”
Mone said that the divorce proceedings were long, but she reiterated that she was happy to be free.
“We were trying to get divorced, but the divorce lawyer took so long. Now we’re here.” My heart already just feels so much better being, like, ‘I’m free. ‘”
