Beth Phoenix, a WWE Hall of Famer, is no longer with the company.
PWInsider reported Friday that Phoenix was no longer under contract to WWE. WrestleTalk reported earlier this week that Phoenix’s profile was removed from the WWE website’s active roster page. She is listed under the alumni and Hall of Fame section.
Phoenix hasn’t wrestled in a match since February 2023. She has only appeared in sporadic matches since she came out of retirement. She was a NXT commentator from 2019-2021.
Phoenix, who retired in 2012, returned to the ring in 2018 for a cameo appearance at the women’s Royal Rumble. Since then, she’s competed in five televised match. Phoenix and her husband Adam Copeland competed in mixed tag-team bouts at Royal Rumble 2020 and Elimination Chamber 2030.
Copeland, the former WWE legend Edge, is now with AEW. He is currently out of commission after breaking his leg in May. Copeland, who made his debut in the promotion last May, was asked if he and Phoenix could work together again.
“I mean, I’m going to be excited every time I get close to Beth. I don’t think that will happen in the near future, but I love her. “We’ve had a great time working together. She will be instrumental in my success without anyone knowing. If you’ve seen something I did, or something you think worked, Beth always gives me better suggestions. It’s amazing to be married a Hall of Famer. It’s pretty cool… and she can suplex you.”
Phoenix voices the opening theme of her husband’s AEW music. She was inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame.
