Bryan Danielson’s AEW contract expires in one week.
Danielson’s AEW wrestling contract expires weeks before All In. Danielson revealed to Renee Paquette in an AEW interview that his contract with the promotion expires on August 1.
“August 1, actually. My wrestling contract expires next Thursday. Danielson said that the fourth birthday of my son also falls on this day. “Tony [Khan] spoke about this in an article, so I’m comfortable talking about it. I’m not MJFing this, and trying to use the fact that my contract is up to say, “Oh, I’m getting all the money.” Someone give me all the cash. Yeah, my contract ends August 1. When I signed this contract, me and Brie Garcia, we talked about the fact that this would be my last wrestling contract. You know, part of me wonders what life will be like after this. A part of me is excited. Even though Wembley will be after this, I have to focus on it. This is my main focus. It’s a wild ride. It’s a crazy time.”
Danielson will be competing against Swerve Strickland at All In for the AEW World Championship. He won the 2024 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and earned the shot at the title.
Danielson is in his final year as a wrestler. He has not yet announced the date of his final match as a full time performer.
Khan stated earlier this week that he knew Danielson was planning to stay with AEW for a very long time. Danielson is also a part of AEW’s behind-the-scenes team.
