The rematch between MJF and Will Ospreay, who will be defending the newly renamed AEW American Championship, is set to take place at the AEW All In event in London next month.
The rematch took place during the Dynamite opening segment on Wednesday. MJF announced that he had decided to rename his International title as the American title. He also unveiled a new belt on Wednesday.
Ospreay then interrupted the proceedings, and after calling MJF out for cheating he said he was meeting Tony Khan. The rematch for Wembley was set. Ospreay recovered the International title that MJF had thrown into a trashcan.
In the weeks prior, MJF offered Daniel Garcia a fight for the August pay per view, but then attacked Garcia after Ospreay defended his title against Garcia. Laying him out. Garcia has not returned, selling storyline injury.
Last week, Ospreay competed against MJF for the first ever time on the 250th Dynamite. The race lasted nearly an hour and ended when MJF punched Ospreay in the face with his Dynamite ring. This resulted in MJF winning the race and the title.
