AEW has a brand new member in its broadcast team.
Melissa Santos announced today on Instagram that the company has hired her. She used the hashtags #announcer and #backstageinterviews.
Santos began her wrestling career as La Nina, in the revamped Women of Wrestling Promotion in 2012. She became the ring announcer of Lucha Underground in 2016, and worked as an interviewer on the backstage for Impact in 2019.
Santos is married to Brian Cage, an AEW employee, since 2019. The couple welcomed their son Logan in November.
AEW has recently made several changes to its broadcast team. Dasha Kuret was let go by the company in April. Arkady Aurea made her debut this year, and Alicia Atout officially signed with the company in April.
