Sid Vicious hopes that with new management in place he could be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
The Attitude Era podcast recently interviewed the former WWE and WCW World Champion. Vicious stated that Vince McMahon was “not a secret” in his hatred for him after Vicious quit WWE in 1992. This was his first stint at the company, before he returned from 1995-97. Vicious may be in line for the Hall of Fame now that McMahon has left WWE.
“You’d expect that they would do that,” Vicious said in reference to a possible induction. “Again, Vince didn’t like me so much. I think they haven’t done that because of that. You would think that with Vince gone, they would have said, “Hey, we still have him on a [legends] contract.” He’s still earning us a little money. It would be good for him if we did this’ — and they would benefit as well. You would think they would want to do all they can to promote something as that.”
McMahon quit WWE in January after allegations of sexual abuse made by Janel Grant, a former WWE employee, in her lawsuit.
Paul “Triple H’ Levesque” selected the entire class of WWE Hall of Fame inductees for this year. The class was headlined by Paul Heyman, and included Bull Nakano (along with Thunderbolt Patterson), The U.S. Express, Mike Rotunda and Barry Windham, Lia Maivia and Muhammad Ali.
