The Miz thinks John Cena was the greatest wrestler of all time.
Miz was recently interviewed by Sports Illustrated, and praised his longtime rival. He said that he was a little saddened to learn Cena’s plans to retire, but hoped to face him one last time in the ring.
“When I heard that he would be retiring at the end next year, I felt mixed emotions,” Miz said. “I’m glad I was able to learn from him and share the ring. I still use what I learned from him, both in and outside of the ring. I’m also very sad. “This is it.”
“Being in a ring with him is like nothing else,” he said. “He is the greatest of all time.”
“He’s now a movie star, but he still loves doing live events. I still can’t imagine that this is the end for him. I’m happy, but also sad-this must be what the man wants.”
Miz said, “I’d love to spend one more moment with [John Cena].” “We’ve been rivals for so many years, and the day after WrestleMania I was tagging John Cena and doing the You can’t See Me and giving AA to people. I never thought I would ever do that. It’s fun to be a good person now. I’m still not used to people cheering for me. But I’m learning to embrace it.
