Minoru Suzuki will make good on his promise to fight for Chris Jericho’s FTW title at the Blood & Guts edition next Wednesday of AEW Dynamics.
Suzuki made a surprise guest appearance on this week’s show. He interrupted a Learning Tree segment featuring Jericho and Bryan Keith, as well as Big Bill. He then pulled out the contract and said “Next week.” Keith read the contract, which revealed that Bill and he were both banned from the ringside of the match.
Suzuki challenged Jericho on the Dynamite pre-Forbidden Doors edition when he thought Bill would join him and he at the pay-per view in a trios. Suzuki surprised Jericho by denying the offer and announcing his intention: to win the FTW title.
The two have never played one-on-one. They have, however, been on the same team in trios twice and at opposite ends of a match in trios another time.
Jericho will defend the title for the third consecutive time after winning it in April’s Dynasty.
