The WWE NXT Women’s Championship is on the line during the Great American Bash, a two-night event.
NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne perez announced on this week’s episode that she would defend her title against Thea hail at Great American Bash. The event is scheduled for July 30th and August 6th as part of a 2-night TV special.
NXT will be on SyFy for both of these weeks, as USA Network’s coverage of the Olympics will take precedence over NXT.
Hail and Perez had a verbal war that turned physical during Tuesday’s show. Hail locked Perez into a submission, before pulling her off the Women’s Champ.
Perez has held NXT Women’s Championship ever since she defeated Lyra Valkyria at Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania Weekend this past April. Perez held the title 206 days in total, as recognized by WWE over her two reigns as NXT Women’s Champion. This is the eighth most combined days.
